6Sacré-Cœur Basilica (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur)

Perched atop Montmartre, the highest point in Paris, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Completed in 1914, the basilica’s white-domed exterior and Romanesque-Byzantine design stand out against the artistic backdrop of Montmartre. Inside, the basilica houses one of the largest mosaics in the world, depicting Christ in Glory. Visitors can also climb to the top of the dome for a panoramic view of the city. Montmartre itself, once home to artists like Picasso and Van Gogh, is a vibrant area filled with art studios, cafes, and street performers.
