4Zipolite Beach, Mexico
Zipolite Beach in Oaxaca, Mexico, is known for its laid-back atmosphere and stunning beauty. However, it is also known as the “Beach of the Dead” due to its deadly rip currents. The beach has claimed many lives over the years, primarily because of the powerful and unpredictable waves that crash onto the shore. Although there are lifeguards on duty today, swimming here is still risky, especially for inexperienced swimmers. The beach’s reputation for danger doesn’t deter visitors, but those who enter the water do so at their own risk.
