4Day 2: The Amalfi Coast – Positano and Amalfi
The second day of your road trip brings you to the legendary Amalfi Coast, one of the most scenic drives in the world. Winding roads, dramatic cliffs, and pastel-colored villages perched on the edge of the Mediterranean make this stretch of coastline a dream come true. Start early from Naples and drive towards Positano, a glamorous coastal town famous for its steep streets, charming boutiques, and beautiful beaches.
Spend the morning wandering through Positano’s labyrinth of streets, soaking in the views, and shopping for local crafts like handmade sandals and ceramics. If the weather is warm, relax on Spiaggia Grande, the town’s main beach, or take a boat tour to the nearby Li Galli Islands.
After lunch at a cliffside restaurant, continue along the coast to Amalfi, another iconic town. Visit the Amalfi Cathedral, a stunning example of medieval architecture, and stroll through the town’s piazzas. If time permits, take a short drive up to Ravello, perched high above the coast, offering some of the best views of the Mediterranean.
As the day winds down, enjoy a seafood dinner in Amalfi or Ravello, and watch the sun set over the shimmering waters.
