4Al-Aqsa Mosque – Jerusalem, Palestine

Located in the heart of Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque holds deep spiritual significance for Muslims as it is the third holiest site in Islam. It is part of the Haram al-Sharif (The Noble Sanctuary), which also includes the Dome of the Rock. Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad was transported from Mecca to Al-Aqsa during the Night Journey (Isra and Mi’raj).

The mosque’s architecture has been influenced by different Islamic dynasties, and its simple yet elegant design includes a large prayer hall with arches, columns, and a domed roof. The most captivating element of Al-Aqsa is the spiritual atmosphere, heightened by the surrounding sacred sites of the Old City of Jerusalem.
