9Japan – Kyoto and Tokyo

Japan is arguably the most famous destination for spring blossoms, especially its iconic sakura (cherry blossoms). From late March to early April, cities like Kyoto and Tokyo transform into picturesque landscapes, with parks, streets, and riversides lined with cherry trees in full bloom.

The Philosopher’s Path in Kyoto, for instance, is a serene, flower-lined canal ideal for a peaceful stroll. In Tokyo, the Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park are popular spots where locals and tourists gather for hanami, the traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossoms.
