The Philosopher’s Path in Kyoto, for instance, is a serene, flower-lined canal ideal for a peaceful stroll. In Tokyo, the Shinjuku Gyoen and Ueno Park are popular spots where locals and tourists gather for hanami, the traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossoms.
