Stonehenge is one of the world’s most mysterious and ancient landmarks, but for many visitors, the magic fizzles out quickly when they see the site in person. The stones are fenced off, and you’re unable to walk among them. Plus, their size and the surrounding barren landscape often leave tourists underwhelmed. Given that the site is located right next to a busy road, the tranquility people expect from this ancient wonder is often absent.
