6Sagrada Família, Barcelona, Spain

Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família is both an architectural masterpiece and a riddle in stone. Under construction since 1882, its unique blend of Gothic and Art Nouveau styles is filled with mathematical and religious symbolism. Although modern builders work from Gaudí’s vision, many of his original plans were lost, leaving parts of the basilica open to interpretation. The building’s evolving design and spiritual symbolism continue to inspire awe—and debate.
