One of the best ways to experience the foliage is by driving the Kancamagus Highway, a 34.5-mile scenic byway offering sweeping views of the White Mountains National Forest. Hiking enthusiasts can also take advantage of the region’s many trails, such as Franconia Notch State Park and Mount Washington, which offer incredible vantage points for leaf-peeping.
