6Temple of Artemis, Ephesus

Located in the ancient city of Ephesus in present-day Turkey, the Temple of Artemis was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Built in the 6th century BCE, this grand Ionic temple was dedicated to the goddess of hunting and wilderness.

Although only a few columns remain today, the temple’s historical significance and its inclusion in the list of wonders attest to its former magnificence.
