5Iraq

Iraq has faced decades of conflict, from the Iran-Iraq War to the Gulf War, the U.S. invasion in 2003, and the rise of ISIS. Although the territorial control of ISIS has been largely dismantled, the group still poses a significant threat, particularly in the northern and western regions of the country. Iraq continues to suffer from political instability, sectarian violence, and terrorism. Bombings, assassinations, and kidnappings are frequent occurrences, and the country’s security forces struggle to maintain order.
