4The Riace Bronzes

Discovered off the coast of Riace in southern Italy in 1972, the Riace Bronzes are a pair of life-size bronze statues dating back to the 5th century BCE. These exquisite sculptures represent nude male warriors, believed to be depictions of Greek gods or heroes.

With their intricate details, dynamic poses, and lifelike expressions, the Riace Bronzes exemplify the technical skill and artistic mastery of ancient Greek sculptors. They are now displayed in the Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
