9Hanakapiai Beach, Hawaii, USA
Hawaii’s Hanakapiai Beach on the island of Kauai is breathtakingly beautiful, but it is also extremely dangerous due to its powerful rip currents and unpredictable waves. Located along the popular Kalalau Trail, this beach lures hikers with its picturesque setting. However, the waters here are known to have deadly rip currents that can pull even the strongest swimmers out to sea. The beach is remote, and there are no lifeguards, which means rescue operations are nearly impossible if someone gets caught in a current. Signs at the beach warn visitors of the dangers, and more than 80 people have drowned in these waters over the years.
