1Aldabra Atoll – Seychelles

The Aldabra Atoll is one of the largest coral atolls in the world, located in the remote Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Aldabra is largely uninhabited and has remained relatively untouched by human activity, preserving its pristine coral reefs and unique biodiversity. The atoll is home to giant Aldabra tortoises, which are found nowhere else in the world, as well as a variety of seabirds and marine life.

Aldabra’s coral reefs are a diver’s haven, featuring clear waters and vibrant coral species. The atoll’s isolation has allowed its ecosystem to thrive, making it one of the most pristine and beautiful coral reef systems in the Indian Ocean. The reefs support a wide variety of fish, sharks, and rays, as well as healthy coral formations that create an otherworldly underwater landscape.
