5Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park – Philippines

Situated in the heart of the Sulu Sea, the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is one of the Philippines’ most remarkable natural treasures. This UNESCO World Heritage site covers nearly 100,000 hectares and features pristine coral reefs, making it one of the best diving destinations in the world. The park is composed of two atolls (North and South Atoll) and the Jessie Beazley Reef, all of which are home to an incredible variety of marine life.

The biodiversity in Tubbataha is astounding—over 600 species of fish, 360 species of coral, 11 species of sharks, and various sea turtles, including the endangered hawksbill turtle, can be found here. The clarity of the water and the abundance of marine life make this coral reef a must-visit for divers who want to experience an underwater paradise. The park is only accessible by boat from March to June, which adds to its exclusivity and the pristine condition of its reefs.
