Mount Hua, located in Shaanxi Province, China, is one of the Five Great Mountains of China and is known for its religious significance and breathtaking views. However, it is also considered one of the most dangerous hiking trails in the world. The most infamous section, known as the “Plank Walk in the Sky,” consists of narrow wooden planks bolted to the mountainside, with sheer drops on either side. Safety measures have been implemented, including harnesses and chains, but accidents still happen due to the treacherous conditions. One misstep can result in a fatal fall. Despite the dangers, Mount Hua continues to attract thrill-seekers eager to conquer the challenging trail.
