Set in front of Hamburg’s grand city hall, the Rathausmarkt Christmas market is known for its elegance and variety. This market, designed by circus director Roncalli, includes everything from circus performers to toy-makers.

With an emphasis on artisanal products and historic crafts, it feels more like a step into Christmases of old. The market’s centerpiece is a flying Santa sleigh, which hovers above the crowd three times a day.
