Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, is known as the official hometown of Santa Claus, but it’s also an excellent destination for witnessing the Northern Lights. Located just below the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi offers frequent Aurora sightings between late August and early April.
