7Karnak Temple Complex
Located near Luxor, the Karnak Temple Complex is one of the most significant and expansive religious sites in the world. Spanning over 200 acres, it served as a major religious center for ancient Egypt for more than 1,500 years. The complex is dedicated primarily to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, but many other deities were also worshipped here.
The most striking feature of Karnak is the Great Hypostyle Hall, a massive structure with 134 towering columns that form an awe-inspiring forest of stone.
