4Mljet, Croatia

Mljet is often considered the greenest island in Croatia, with its dense forests, clear lakes, and tranquil atmosphere. A large part of the island is protected as Mljet National Park, home to two saltwater lakes, Veliko and Malo Jezero.

In the middle of Veliko Jezero lies a small island with a 12th-century Benedictine monastery. The park is perfect for hiking, cycling, and kayaking. Mljet’s untouched nature and serene environment make it an ideal escape for nature lovers.
