3Step 4: Assemble the Gingerbread House
Lay out the gingerbread pieces on a flat surface and plan the assembly. Begin by attaching the walls. Pipe a thick line of royal icing along the edges where the walls meet, pressing the pieces together gently. Hold them in place for a few seconds, then let them dry for 15 minutes to ensure they are secure. Once the walls are stable, apply icing to the tops of the walls and carefully position the roof panels. Allow the assembled house to dry for at least an hour before decorating.
