6Turckheim
Turckheim is a quiet village known for its traditional Alsatian architecture, colorful homes, and unique customs. Turckheim is one of the few villages that still practices the medieval tradition of the nachtwächter (night watchman), who makes rounds each evening from May to October, singing songs and telling stories. Turckheim also has several wineries that offer tastings of Alsatian classics like Riesling, Sylvaner, and Muscat.
