2Open-Toed Shoes or Sandals

While sandals or flip-flops might be tempting for a beach vacation, they’re not ideal for air travel. First, open-toed shoes leave your feet more exposed to the dirt and germs that are common in airports and airplane cabins. Additionally, in the event of an emergency, you want to wear shoes that provide protection and allow you to move quickly. Sandals and flip-flops offer little support or safety in such situations.

Closed-toed shoes, like sneakers or slip-on loafers, are a much better choice. They not only protect your feet from potential spills or bumps but also ensure you can navigate the airport and the airplane safely. Plus, they’re easier to wear with socks, which can keep your feet warm in a chilly cabin.
