9Elafonissi Beach, Greece

Tucked away in the southwestern corner of Crete, Elafonissi Beach is a paradise of pink sands and crystal-clear waters. The pink tint is courtesy of crushed seashells mixed with the golden sand.

Elafonissi is also a nature reserve, home to diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can enjoy the shallow, warm waters and explore the islet of Elafonissi, accessible by a shallow lagoon during low tide.
