4Arles – A Roman Gem with a Modern Art Twist

Arles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is filled with ancient Roman monuments, including an amphitheater, a theater, and a Romanesque cathedral. The city’s historical landmarks make it one of the best-preserved Roman sites in France.

Arles also inspired many of Vincent van Gogh’s works, and you can see his influence around the town, especially in the Fondation Vincent van Gogh.

Must-See Spot: The Arles Amphitheatre, a well-preserved Roman arena that still hosts events today.
