9Riquewihr – France’s Fairy Tale Village
Just a stone’s throw from Colmar, Riquewihr is another gem of the Alsace region. Known for its well-preserved medieval architecture, Riquewihr transports visitors back to the Renaissance era with its fortified walls, narrow alleyways, and vibrant houses. It’s not surprising that this town inspired some of the setting for Disney’s animated film Beauty and the Beast.
