2Bastei Bridge, Saxon Switzerland
Located in the Saxon Switzerland National Park near the Czech border, the Bastei Bridge offers some of the most spectacular views in Germany. The sandstone rock formations rise high above the Elbe River, creating a dramatic landscape that has inspired painters and poets for centuries. The bridge, built in the 19th century, connects several of the rock formations and provides panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs and forests. Despite its natural beauty, this area remains relatively under-visited compared to Germany’s more famous tourist sites.
