4Beelitz-Heilstätten, Brandenburg

If you’re fascinated by abandoned places with a sense of history, Beelitz-Heilstätten is a must-visit. Located just outside of Berlin, this former sanatorium complex was built in the late 19th century and served as a military hospital during both World Wars. Today, many of the buildings stand in eerie disrepair, covered in vines and graffiti. Guided tours allow visitors to explore the decaying halls, which exude a haunting beauty. The nearby tree canopy walk provides a peaceful contrast to the eerie ruins below.
