6Triberg Waterfalls, Black Forest

While the Black Forest is a popular destination, many visitors overlook the impressive Triberg Waterfalls, one of Germany’s highest cascades. The falls plunge 163 meters (535 feet) down a series of granite steps into the Gutach River, surrounded by thick forest. The area offers well-marked hiking trails, and at night, the falls are illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere. Triberg is also known for its cuckoo clocks, and nearby shops offer some of the finest examples of this traditional Black Forest craft.
