4Quepos Bridge (Costa Rica)

The Quepos Bridge in Costa Rica is locally known as the “Bridge of Death”—and for good reason. This rusty, old structure is barely wide enough for one vehicle, yet trucks frequently cross it. The rickety steel framework seems fragile, and the constant swaying of the bridge adds to the sense of danger. There are no side barriers, so one wrong move could lead to a catastrophic plunge into the river below. The bridge has become infamous for its dilapidated state, yet it remains in use.
