7Eshima Ohashi Bridge (Japan)
The Eshima Ohashi Bridge in Japan is an architectural wonder that also manages to strike fear into the hearts of those crossing it. Known as the “rollercoaster bridge,” this steep bridge connects the cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato. What makes the bridge dangerous is its steep incline—so steep that from certain angles it looks almost vertical. While the bridge is safe by engineering standards, driving up the sharp incline and descending on the other side can feel like plunging off a cliff.
