Nestled in the Julian Alps, Lake Bled is an enchanting destination straight out of a fairy tale. This stunning lake is famous for the small island that sits at its center, home to the Assumption of Maria Church.

Visitors can row to the island or take a traditional wooden boat called a “pletna.” Surrounding the lake is the Bled Castle perched atop a cliff, offering panoramic views of the lake and mountains.
