Sleepy Hollow is synonymous with Halloween, thanks to Washington Irving’s classic tale The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Each October, the town celebrates with a variety of events, including the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, where thousands of intricately carved pumpkins light up the night. Visitors can also take part in spooky storytelling sessions and visit the Old Dutch Church and cemetery, where the legend comes to life.
