6Amorgos – Mystical and Remote

Amorgos, the easternmost Cycladic island, is famed for its dramatic landscapes and the cliffside Monastery of Panagia Hozoviotissa, perched precariously above the sea. Its rugged terrain, hiking trails, and deep-blue waters give it an otherworldly feel.

Unlike its neighbor Naxos, Amorgos remains peaceful, with only a few small villages and limited accommodations. The island was featured in the cult film The Big Blue, which perfectly captured its raw beauty and spiritual atmosphere.
